Teacher sleepover

So yes. It's a thing here that we sleep by teachers on weekends if we want to. We also call them by their first names which I think is pretty chill. So some friends and I slept by our Megillot teacher, Malka. She lives in Efrat which is stunning. All of the houses are made out of the same stone and it just looks very clean. It's like actually the town of runners. She was telling us how her friends feel socially pressured to go running all the time because it's probably the most common activity there.
Anyways, Shabbat was great. Her husband was cool and her (6!) kids were adorable. The food was also great! (Classic sem girl comment, whoa)
After dinner we all "schmoozed" until we were falling asleep. That's what I love about my school. Were actually like best friends with our teachers.
Her family had some really special customs. One of them was before havdala. Since it's the start of the new week, everyone has to share a goal they have for the week. I thought it was nice.

So yeah that was my Shabbat.
Shavuah tov
